An G @ CMC on MV

So here I am on MV,  at  the Contemporary Music Center. The pics are  all on the campus  besides the one in a nearby town where I am sitting by a good friend of mine, Becca.  Classes involve  learning about  the music industry and figuring out what part of the music industry I want to be a part of  and etc. I  am currently managing three artists: a drummer, a  piano player/songwriter, and  an ambient guitarist .  And Xanga is being stupid and it's not letting me type very well  without great frustration, so I might try to  get off and get back on.

until then-

Angie

Name: Angela Buller Planet: Earth Dislike: Updating Xanga is MY responsibility

No, no, it's ok, I'll take the brunt of the responsibility for not updating this Xanga thing...If there is anyone still alive that remembers that I, a poor busy soul, has a despondently neglected Xanga. Well-let's see here. What should I say? A whole life biography? I'll save that for when you've counted more sheep than you know numbers...
I just got my wedding dress last weekend. (I like it alot :D) Rachel also helped me pick out the bridesmaids dresses and my mom picked out her dress! It was a very fruitful day!
My huge paper that I have been working on for my independent marketing class is going to be done in the next few days!! Prayse de Laud I am finawlly fre!! pretty much. hopefully I have the gusto to finish the last two pages...(maybe six)

(or so)...

anways.

Michaels' kids are doing their show this week: James and the Giant Peach. Come one, come all to see the cute little lisps and all. Call me to see what times they are going on.

I have found a new favorite movie-Brick (shown below) (or wherever its shown on this page). I forgot how much I really enjoy film noir. Rachel-it took me back to class with Chris :)

Ok-quick brief of Brick-detective movie filmed like the old Humphrey Bogart black and white about the lonely detective, the not-so-innocent girl, the thug and mastermind. It takes place in a high school setting, but the Brendan's wit and inferences are very cool (which were, at least, unlike my high school days and ways..)

Anyway...

Have a good one-
until 2025,

Angie

Long time coming...I hope you are still well.

WOOOOOAAHH--It has been too long, eh? That would be my apologies, I suppose. Well, I suppose that I can't blame it on anyone else. Hmmmm-where shall I start, I don't even remember what I had put down last time. I just got back from the Beth Moore Conference. I am STILL tying up loose ends with that thing. Whew. That was a doozy. I officially have a job at Tabor College Wichita with their Marketing stuff. So that will be fun. I will find more details tomorrow, as I am talking to KaLyn, my boss, to figure out all the juicy details. If it's a part time job, I will probably get another job at a restaurant or mall or something. I saw V for Vendetta last Thursday-and it has stuck with me for a loong time--thinking about all that it stood for (mainly the fear factors and stuff-call me, we can talk). I would say that a movie that keeps you thinking for about half a week afterwards or more is a good movie. I liked it. I also found a song from the movie that is Wonderful (capital W) called "I Found a Reason" sung by Cat Power. I was told that it was a rendition of an older song. GREAT song. I will find out about a study abroad that I applied for on Thursday (the 20th). I am really anticipating finding out about it. It will be at Martha's Vineyard, an island outside of Boston dedicated to artists. I will be studying music marketing. I would love to go, we'll see :) I'm also getting ready for my junior flute recital. May 11th at oh, say, about 7:00 I think. Anyone is welcome. It is here at the college in the chapel. Lots of memorization to do.

Michael comes home on the 8th or 9th of May. I will be ready for that day. I think that I was ready back in January. And that might be about it of all the semi-interesting parts of my running (panting and gasping for air more like it). Actually, these past couple of weeks have been wonderfully more calm than before. Oh, I am also going on Band tour this weekend, so that will be fun. I have a few solos. soooo...

That might be about it. See you soon.

Trying to Recouperate...

I returned from Beth Moore at four this morning. Man alive, it was craziness running rampandt, but everything turned out well, and for me, it was worth it. I realized coming home that this weekend wasn't so much about having everything always together (besides a few confusing situations on the road and at the hotels) but rather being stretched, rising to the occasion, and laughing through it all. Sometimes situations became crazy in a hurry like when I was driving on a toll road in rush hour in the middle of downtown Chicago while trying to relieve my bladder which was consipiciously  placed right under 100 pounds of heaviness with a rather large gravitational pull towards the center of the earth that seemed to grow by the second as well as trying to figure out exactly how much gas my car would eat before dying out on me since my fuel guage was broken and I was 40 miles past what I usually fill up and my lips were becoming a strange color of blue while cars zoomed precariously by at 85 mph in a 55 zone while i was already going 75 like the rest of the cars...other than random situations like that, things went pretty normal.

I would have to say that Beth Moore was one of the best speakers that I have ever heard. She was constantly to the point and spoke with relevant content that was directly focused to college-aged women. I am really interested in her books (hint hint to anyone furiously searching for a great gift for me) and I am excited to further process the lessons that I learned as a leader of 30 women. I can honestly say that this weekend was probably one of the highest points of my life as a leader. I went in with fear and anxiety, not sure what I was missing when we left and unable to create a checklist of problems that might come up, but surprisingly able to accomodate needs and create solutions as issues arose. I saw the strength that I wasn't sure I had, and realized that I really could keep going strong, even in times when I thought I was going to break. I also realized the importance of the help that I got. I will forever think fondly of those who helped at all; those who offered their credit cards, cars, time, servant-hood, patience, money, sleep, and problem-solving skills. This was a trip chock-full of women with skills, I'll tell you that much right now. If there was one person that I could specifically recognize and lift up, it would be the beautiful Shelby, for consistently and constantly offering her positivity and relational skills to include every single person and actually make this a fun event. I don't know if she'll ever even read this, but she will ever be fond in my heart.

I also realized my gratefulness for Mike's ability to look at the bright side and give me strength.

And most of all, praise God and thank Him for getting us there, getting us in (chicago and the conference), getting us through it, and getting us home. My God, I can list the exact times when He gave the words I needed (whether through scripture or other people), and the words I need now that I'm back to continue on in His word. This wasn't a mountain-top experience, it was too uncomfortable for that. This was a blessing though, Praise Him for that.

I sound like a Baptist. Or an evangelist. Or someone comfortable enough to say things constantly like that.Or like this is my acceptance speech for an oscar or something.

Oh well. Such is life. wow. I'm fine with this.

Ok, if you read this whole thing, you have officially proven your friendship and devotion to me. Not that you needed it before. But you should at least sign my guest book now. You deserve dessert.
